On arrival at Paro Airport, you will be received by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Visit the National Museum (Ta-Dzong), initially the Watch Tower to defend Paro Rinpung Dzong which now offers an unique and varied collections of ancient armor, textiles, antique thangkha paintings, and natural life. Then visit the Rinpung Dzong, massive fortress located on a hilltop above the Paro Valley. Afternoon drive up the valley to the Druk- gyel Dzong, On the way back you visit a typical Bhutanese farmhouse. Visit 7th century Kichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalay. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
After breakfast drive to Thimphu, In the afternoon visit Tashichhodzong, Memorial Chorten; the stupa built in the memory of Bhutan’s Third King and Handicrafts Emporium displying rich traditional crafts of the Kingdom. Just below the town, you may also catch a game of archery in progress at the Changlingmithang. Evening take a stroll around mar- ket area. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Proceed to Khuruthang crossing Dochula pass (3,100m). The pass offers the most spectacular view over the high peaks of the Himalayas on a clear day. After lunch, drive down to Punakha and visit the Dzong situated at the junction of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers.
Drive till Punakha. The trek begins with the gradual climb through Chir Pine forests. On the way, visit a village called Dompala.
The trail today takes you through rhododendron and oak forested area. pass a famous Drukpa Kuenlay Lhakhang. Over- night in camp. Distance 14 Km. about 5/6 hours walk.
The trek now takes you through the village of Sha Wangdue District. Camp at Samtengang at lakeside. Distance 13 km, about 5 hours.
Today we move down till the motor road. Drive till Wangdiphodrang . After lunch drive to Thimphu. Via Dochula Pass which is the only of its kind in the country with elaborate paintings depicting the lineage of the present monarchy and their visionary works. Continue drive to Thimphu and check into hotel on arrival Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Visit Simtokha Dzong. This is one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan. It was built in 1629 A.D. Visit the Wood Craft and Painting School where traditional art and crafts are still kept alive. After a relaxing lunch, visit the National Institute of Traditional Medicine and a traditional paper factory. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast Transfer to the aiport for depature.
